A Flu for my Valentine

You know, unlike many people in my profession, I actually like my job. I enjoy it. I get to work on interesting problems which are also very accessible, and in doing so I help all the people that are going to make use of the released software.

So, today, a beautiful day with temperatures going as high as -3° C, my body decided that the best course of action is to fall sick.

It is actually a bit ridiculous. I am normally a very healthy and god-like individual, and yet this is the second time I've fallen sick in the past three weeks. Maybe it has to do with the cold? Maybe it has to do with my coworkers falling sick? Maybe it has to do with the ACTA protest and my god did I walk for ages in that cold snowy town center. Who knows?

By some roll of a die, today also happens to be... a traditional Bulgarian holiday celebrating wine and, by implication for many people, the action of consuming it.

Oh, and today also happens to be St. Valentine's day. Yes, on this day, all around the world, people become vicious consumerists in the name of "love". Ah, what a beautiful happening.

It's actually funny because, like this, everyone gets to be drunk today! The ones with a loved one to care for are drunk on love, the ones without - on any alcohol they can get their hands on.

And then there's me.
I would normally be in the latter category, but wait!... I am sick :(
So I will spend today drinking badly-made tea and catching up on my anime for the past few weeks.
